About Can Pizza

Quite surprised for the better
@topfoodbcn

At Can Pizza Universitat, on Ronda Universitat in Barcelona, gluten-free pizza isn't an afterthought: there's a separate prep area, a dedicated oven and separate utensils, plus the Associació d'Celíacs de Catalunya badge. They don't stop bringing out pizzas, and the gluten-free crust is so well done it's hard to tell apart from the regular one.

For the table, the gluten-free octopus pizza arrives on an orange plate with a wonderful look and very tasty dough; the regular cherry-tomato pizza has spectacular dough. Starters and desserts are gluten-free too, so everyone can order without doing awkward math.

@topfoodbcn comes away quite surprised for the better: both are very good, and the gluten-free one doesn't lag behind. It's a clear stop for coeliacs and anyone eating with one, without giving up proper pizza. In the comments, several coeliac viewers agree the orange plate gave it away, though they still admit it looks good.
